De La Guerra and State Street, Santa Barbara

I met a lot of people while I was painting this on State Street. I always end up doing this street because it has the best view of the mountains in my opinion. Not to mention the series of Spanish tile roofs. I also really love painting the white walls in shadow. With all the light bouncing around you can see some really interesting shades.

    Oh, you make my heart ache for home! I haven't lived there for 38 years and I still miss it every day. I love your paintings, this one in particular. The light is amazing. Thanks for sharing it with a homesick out of towner.
