After being windblown at the beach on Monday, I was a little less wind blown under the archway Tuesday morning. I made this painting for a friend who will give it to his Mom as she was married in the sunken garden right over by those evergreen trees in the center of the painting. One of the things I did right was to paint the shadow and the highlighted arch on the left before the sun got to high and put everything in shadow.
