This is the beach between Goleta Beach and More Mesa. The clump of trees in the right center of the painting is where the More Mesa steps are. Thats Hope Ranch up above of course. Those are seals on the rocks to the right. I had never ventured way out here before to paint because you have to get the painting done between the tides and the sun. Otherwise be stranded or clambering over rocks to get home. I am proud to say I painted this in about 2 1/2 hours and was able to home by 10 am. The rest of the day was a little tougher...
