I have been coming here since I was a little kid but never have painted it. I didn't realize you could see the mountains so well from this perspective. I was also surprised by the amount and size of the Yucca Trees along the bluff. Had it not been so windy I would have painted from the top of the bluff. As it was, I was lucky to be just above the high tide mark in a little shade tucked out of the wind. A perfect place to spend the day. The Jailhouse is that little structure in the focal point. We always called it that because there is a cellar like room that goes into the hill. At some point it had a jail cell like bars across it to keep from us kids getting in. Those where eventually broken and I remember the smell of pee and beer was enough to keep me from going in.
Where is this piece I wonder?
