I have had a lot of practice painting the Santa Ynez mountains this past year so I am primed and ready to tackle the Sierra's. I think you can tell by strokes that I had an easy fun time painting this monolith. The most difficult part of this painting was getting the right color of the mountains. In SB they have much more vegetation so they end up more blue. These have a lot of dirt shale and rocks that make them much warmer then I am used to.
