I made this in the back country this last Saturday. I was lucky enough to take a two day backpacking trip with some friends. We hiked about 5 miles into a spot that used to be an old Indian camp on the Lost Valley Trail. There where huge rock formations all around us. It had burned in the Zaca fire so almost all the trees where destroyed. This is a view of pool rock from a ridge above where we camped. The rock itself is off limits so I had to do a painting from a distance.
