Las Alturas Road, on the Santa Barbara Riviera

"Las Alturas"

I painted this from the foundation of a house that was burned in the last fire. This is the view they had from their living room. It is looking towards TV hill, with The Channel Islands, Santa Cruz and Anacapa beyond. The 101 Freeway is that last strip of white on the left side. I am sure I had more fun then the people inching down the freeway that Sunday afternoon.
