"Gibraltar Road Layers", Santa Barbara Foothills

One of my favorite places of late, Gibraltar road is a great place to get away from the Marine Layer. Which is what you see in the painting. After that you can see Rincon mountain and then Point Magu beyond that. It was amazing to see the clouds wash in and out like waves of the ocean. At the same time revealing and covering the hills below.

    Nice Chris. I like the way the subject is lit up! Bright. Hard to do and a good contrast to boot. Good job.

    Chris, it's always an honor to meet an inspired artist and was so nice meeting you today at Butterfly. I love your work!!! Unfortunately, the pieces I love the most so far have already been sold but my mother and I are going to stay tuned for more of your "daily painting project". REALLY BEAUTIFUL pieces. --Tasha
