This was a painting I made a week ago at an event for the San Luis Obispo Opera. These are a part of the grounds of an amazing ocean estate. It has a lighthouse and a windmill and sandstone paths throughout the property like this one. This was one of those days that the Marine layer stood just over us until about 5 o'clock. I ended up adding all those strong highlights and shadows in later to suit the changing conditions. That's always dangerous but I think it worked out in this case.
