This marine layer is enough to make me start using photographs of nice sunny days instead of painting en plein air. Geese is this ever gonna end? I think this is the worst bout of June Gloom we have ever had. Of course I think that every year when this happens. Anyway, I have been thinking about walking out on these tracks for a while now as it seemed like a great vantage point. As I walked out there I came upon a Sheriff patroling the area. He informed me that I was trespassing and it was a sitable offense. He then said it was cool if I painted there but that I might get a ticked from one of his buddies. I like to walk the line from time to time so I stuck it and none of his buddies showed up to roust me.
I love the perspective on this one, especially with the geometric as well as organic shapes together, (the curve against the straight edge)..this is eye candy..love it. And great story too!
