Apparently there was a huge swell hitting yesterday, Dec 17th. When I went out to shoreline I was faced with these awesome shoulder high waves. It was a tough choice as to what to paint. Next time I will turn around and get the point and surfers at last light. It was an amazing sunset and I only scraped the surface on representing it as beautiful as it actually was. The Island on the left is Santa Cruz Island and the little sliver of blue on the horizon is Anacapa Island. 12 x 16 oil on linen
