Cabrillo Point - Santa Barbara

Believe it or not I made this painting before I had to be at work in my tie at 8 am. I was disapointed that it was all grey at first but then as I was painting I came around to the subject. One of the nice things about these conditions is that the sun passing through the sky doesn't change the subject as quickly as full sunlight would.

I have just recently been given an opportunity to make art full time. Its exciting to think about what is possible if I put my mind to it. I can paint anything I want. Just pondering that gives me goose bumps. Humm, its my time to muse and answer those important questions. What do I want to get out of my paintings? What do I want other people to get out of them? I hope to break through to new levels of mastery in both my technique and style. All I have to do is experiment and keep going down the path I have already started upon.
