"Graveyards Waxing Gibbous", Montecito, Santa Barbara, California

"Graveyards Waxing Gibbous"
24 x 48 inches, oil on canvas, sold

This is the beach between the East Beach volleyball courts and Butterfly Beach. Named graveyards after the cemetery that sits above. I don't paint here often as its usually too sunny and too windy. I tied my easel to the little breakwater thingy and went for it. I jumped in the crystal clear icy pacific a few times to keep cool. Then I could of sailed my canvas home had the wind been blowing in the right direction. It ended up with plenty of East Beach debris authenticating its plein air status.

Thats the Coral Casino on the next point, Carpinteria and then the great and wonderful Rincon Mountain.
