This is a view from my friend's ranch, Rancho Las Flores, in Santa Paula. I never had realized that these part of the foothills was so close to the ocean. The marine layer had trouble burning off here too but I was able to get some of the distant mountains. It was refreshing to be in the foothills after painting at the beaches for most of the year.
