Before I painted this I was down at the beach doing a large commissioned piece and nearly got blown down the beach. Big canvases turn into great sails. Too bad I wasn't using it for that. Anyway, instead of battling the wind I decided to tuck into a little alcove under Macy's and paint this view. It attracted me because of the grouped mass of shadow. I think you can tell it was still very windy.
