Carpinteria Bluffs near the Seal Preserve

After coming to the bluffs recently and doing several small ones, I felt like I needed to get a big one in. I spent about 6 hours out there. I was perched in a pretty precarious spot above the railroad tracks. It was hard not to think about the 15 ft fall but this little nook afforded the best view of the whole bluff, beach, wave, pier combination. I realize that finding the best spot to view a subject is the top priority for me. Of course it means that I could end up hiking around for an hour before I actually paint. It also often puts me on the cliffs edge, like on this day.
