Butterfly Beach - Montecito

"Butterfly Haze"

I made this this morning in the silver light of dawn. I had trouble deciding on a composition, so I ended up marching up and down the road with my easel. It was really beautiful how the light was catching the waves and reflecting off the ocean. One of the things that is very important to me is the overall shape and movement of the painting. This view is interesting to me  because it has these two curves of the coast and the road that culminate in the next point.
